becoming me

Will someone tell me what is happening to me?
Why am I so misunderstood?
Why can't they see that I'm caught between the
world's eyes and the person that I want to be.
They say that I'll be beautiful but only in their eyes.
I asked if they believed in beauty on the inside.
They looked at me as if I were crazy, turned up their noses,
and walked away.

Awesome.

I'm going crazy with these push me pull me
copycats who think they're right.
I don't want to give in and get knocked off of my feet.
I don't want to be the someone that they want me to be.
The moral of the story is they think they're right.

I must follow my own light.

I liked the message. How many times have I felt that way?
Your stanzas were a bit choppy, and the rhythm was a little off. You should also work on your grammar. In the first stanza, you put a period where you should have had a question mark, and you missed a few commas. But other than those small things, you're poem was pretty good.
